Technology in other Countries
So I mentioned in one of my blogs that I lived in Brazil for a year. I was thinking on my way into school this morning about the technology in Brazil. I would consider Brazil a country that is third world due to the amount of poverty I saw while I was traveling in the northern and central parts of Brazil. The technology there is behind the technology we have in Canada. They do have access to most of the tools and services that we have in Canada. However, the price to get this technology and tools is UNREASONABLE. Therefore, only the very upper class people have access to technology and the other 80% of the country don't use technology the way we do. The school that I was studying in while I was in Brazil also did not have a lot of technology compared to the high school I went to in Canada. They did have a computer lab, but the quantity and quality of the computers they had was not very "good". Also, we did not spend much time using the technology that was present in the school. It was very "old school". I sometimes wonder how Canada's technology is comparing to the technology of other privileged countries?
